2009,
I’m a typography nut. I love to learn about the history of typefaces as well as the art itself.
WikiAnswers has a Typography category.
Someday, soon hopefully, the typography category will be a one-stop source for all the information anyone could ever ask for in regards to such topics as typeface history, theory, and design.
Such existing Q&As include:

How has the discipline of photography impacted digital graphic design?
The answer provided in this question comes from one of my most favorite contributors of the Graphic Design category I supervise on WikiAnswers, known as Jmowreader. He provides a lot of significant answers to many graphic design related questions there that which are of superb quality and insight.
His take on this question:
[...] Executive summary: Affordable digitized photos have made it possible for more publishers to use more photos and more color than ever before, which enables them to attract more readers. The flipside is the quality of the photos being used has gone straight to hell, but you can put a lot more of them in the book than you did in the old days. [...]
Jmowreader tells us about how photos were taken and printed into media, such as magazines, back in the old days throughout the years compared to how this process is done today. Click here to read the remainder of his article.

2008,
I am almost live! Not much longer. Still have a ton of work to do. Obviously the whole appearance of this blog needs revamped to suit my purposes. So that ugly blue header with my name will be gone soon.
My online portfolio will be here somewhere once I get all the images ready and a place for them. My portfolio and stuff will probably not be hosted within this blog, however linked from this blog and back again. I have to see if there is anyway I can make my portfolio appear and navigate and function best for me under Wordpress. If not, well, guess I’ll find out soon enough.
I’m probably about 50% through development. The primary reason for this site is for the online portfolio and resume. However, it seems to me that this blog is already taking over - in that it doesn’t allow for the customization that I need .. at least I haven’t discovered it yet. Perhaps I will create my own function for it. Who knows. The next phase is still in planning stages.
Visit WikiAnswers in the meantime. It’s the best Q&A site out there, in my opinion. But then what would I know? I’m only a supervisor there - I might be biased.
